About Robert Santagado, CPA

Robert Santagado is highly accomplished accountant with over 25 years of experience. He has been on both sides of the private/public sector, and served 17 years as Chief Accounting Officer for the premier factoring/asset-based lending organizations in the industry. His passion for efficiency and execution helps to streamline accounting processes and deliver unparalleled execution of service, while maintaining a presence in the Corporate and Individual Tax world. He is licensed in NJ, FL and VA and is prepared to serve clients in all 50 states.

Past Roles

Portfolio Manager:

Responsible for management and oversight of the client portfolio of factored receivables, which entails new client underwriting, initial application analysis and client due diligence, volume-based client pricing, contract preparation and closing, deal oversight for mergers and acquisitions, internal audit, accounts receivable verification monitoring, federal tax liability monitoring of clients, debtor credit review and daily client funding verifications and approval. (AGR Financial – 2014-2017)

Chief Accounting Officer:

Responsible for all accounting and financial functions across 10 consolidated entities and 180+ FTE’s. Directed internal financial management and reporting activities and developed forecasts and operating budgets, performed analysis of actual results. (LSQ Funding Group – 1997-2014)

Payroll Administrator:

Responsible for the gathering, input and processing of weekly payroll data and the administration and maintenance of employee benefits. (Traffic Control Devices, Inc. – 1993-1997)


What We've Achieved

  • Established accounting department, implemented and managed all accounting and financial processes including closing procedures and annual audits

  • Analyzed and selected accounting and factoring software and develop processes to cross-link and upload data

  • Directed and facilitated formal annual consolidated financial statement audits with independent outside auditors, resulting in 100% “unqualified” opinions

  • Negotiated and maintained a 14 year banking relationship with the largest bank in the United States, which allowed for a strategic alliance netting a lucrative client referral program and a $125MM syndicated credit line

  • Negotiated and administered payroll and employee benefits package with outside vendors for 180+ employees, saving the consolidated entity $1MM per year in employee benefits

  • Saved real estate company 100k a year by improving processes
